The Camera Will — Part 4: Her Own Plate

Five weeks later, Emma and Ryan sat on the same side of a conference table for the first time since their divorce.

They were not there because they agreed about the past.

They were there to submit a temporary parenting plan that did not ask Lily to wait for a courtroom fight before feeling safe.

The full kitchen recording had been preserved from Ryan's owner account.

The short clip retained its original start and stop times.

The behavior log showed when the shortened version entered the custody dispute.

No one needed to turn the family court conference into a criminal trial in order to respond to those facts.

Lily would remain primarily with Emma.

Ryan would begin with daytime visits at his sister Denise's house, then move to his own apartment after the home was reviewed under the temporary plan.

Vanessa would have no contact with Lily during Ryan's parenting time.

Ryan would complete individual counseling and a parenting course before asking to expand the schedule.

All communication about Lily would stay in the parenting app.

Any future incident report would identify who made the observation and preserve the full context of any recording.

The child-safety agency continued handling Vanessa's conduct and Noah's circumstances through the adults legally responsible for him.

Emma did not ask Noah to testify for Lily or make him explain his mother.

The full video already showed the abandoned plate and the eight missing minutes.

Ryan filed his corrected declaration with the court.

He also moved out of the house he shared with Vanessa.
